Rabbi Chaim Zt’zl took notice of a growing phenomenon that was getting overlooked, single parent families. He felt it was his mission to look out for those that didn’t have anybody to take care of them, and he assisted on a monthly basis. However, when it came time for Yom Tov, these families, mostly Almanos, had no where to turn when the costs of making Yom Tov were overwhelming.

Rav Chaim partnered with an anonymous donor who agreed to match dollar for dollar in order to help these families.

Keren Chasei Moshe Tuvia was founded just before Pesach 2015. In the year since Rav Chaim’s untimely Petira it has been renamed, Chaim LeChag, in his honor.

Rav Chaim Zt’zl had a network of over 90 Gabboim throughout the entire country, working hand in hand to personally verify every single request.

That first Pesach The Keren supported 339 Families with 1,712 children. Thus bringing joy to a family amidst the sadness of missing a parent.

Unfortunately, in the short time since the Keren was established new requests came in from all across the country. This pas Succos the Keren helped 3,328 single parent families with 10,419 children from 61 cities.
